Event Description

Postponed due to lack of snow on the trails.

Here are some of the advantages to having the event at Pineland:

  • ice skating
  • almost 50k of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing
  • snowshoeing
  • 2,500 acres mapped for orienteering
  • sledding hills
  • fire wood provided
  • a large communal room for warm up, food and drink

Potluck LUNCH 11:30-1:00 Bring salad, side, appetizer or dessert to go with hot soup, stew, chili or chowder made by members competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in recipe cook-off.

Please no pets. Keep in mind that to "walk" to the outdoor fire pits, you will need to use snowshoes or skis. The fire pits are surrounded by groomed trails and no boots are allowed on trails. In case of minimal snow cover, WinterFest will go on!

Payment Details: Group discount is $8 for a full day groomed ski trail pass (regular price is $13). $3 for use of snowshoe trails. Everything else is free. The first 22 members to come forward to volunteer for the day get a FREE trail pass. Contact David Steckler AL1@MOAC.org to volunteer.

Directions: Tke Rte231 (Intervale Road) to Pineland Farms entrance. Turn Left at 4-way intersection into Pineland and follow road downhill. Just past Elementary School turn Right and park after X-country Touring Center. Our meeting will begin at 9:30 upstairs in Lounge/old Bakery Location.
