| Event Description |
A river of ice wonders along the Cathance in Topsham. Easy hike along the river banks and in the woods in the Cathance River Preserve. The ice formations are really great right now. We'll hike along the river to see all the beaty of the ice and the rapids. Some up and down along the trail but not too bad. Great beginner hike. Grippers, stabilicers or microspikes are a must. Be sure to wear layers, a way to carry them, water (insulated) and a snack. Feel free to bring lunch if you want to stay out longer or you may wish to go out for a bite after. Hiking poles are not a bad idea.

Exit 31 off I295, take Bypass towards Bath. Turn left at signal for Highland Green (first signal after crossing 201). We'll meet at the Golf Club House parking lot on the left. We may move to the trail parking area after we are all there.
